New Novel Introduces Us to George Washington's First Love

Only on the "CBS This Morning" podcast, journalist Mary Calvi of our New York station WCBS joins CBS News' Vladimir Duthiers to discuss her new book, "Dear George, Dear Mary: A Novel of George Washington's First Love." Before George married Martha, he courted an heiress named Mary Philipse from Yonkers, New York. Calvi's novel, based on letters and journal entries, re-imagines their love story and answers the question of whether unrequited love sparked a flame that ignited a cause that became the American Revolution.
