La ola de violencia a transporte y pasaje en el Estado de México crece; extorsiones, secuestro, robo e incendio de unidades, denuncian operadores.

Entre marzo y abril un chofer fue asesinado, otro secuestrado y cinco unidades incendiadas como medida de presión para el cobro de piso, según el colectivo de transporte 30 de octubre.

Las zonas más afectadas, las del nororiente del Estado de México: Tecámac, Zumpango y Cuautitlán. Por ahí circulan 15 mil unidades vulnerables al crimen.

Héctor Escalona, director de consorcio emprendedores Transporte 20 de octubre: "También nosotros estamos pensando ya en cerrar las puertas, el 40% de la mano de obra diariamente estamos perdiendo en promedio entre un millón y millón 100 mil en no ingresos por falta de esas unidades que no están laborando, y ya se nos está haciendo muy complicado mantener la parte operativa".

Los operadores dicen que se protegen como pueden.

Omar Pérez, representante legal de Autotransportes Zitlalli: "Ponemos botones de pánico, ponemos cámaras de videovigilancia, traen las camionetas seguro de vida para sus pasajeros, contamos con filtros de seguridad para nuestro pasaje, ver qué pasó la camioneta y que va bien, nosotros estamos haciendo el trabajo".

Piden que las autoridades tomen cartas en el asunto.

Omar Pérez, representante legal de Autotransportes Zitlalli: "Urge, urge que las autoridades se sumen a cuidar a la ciudadanía porque lo que vemos es que cuando denunciamos dicen es de fuero común, y vamos y queremos de forma federal y dicen no me corresponde, y les decimos dónde están pasando los hechos y dicen ahí yo no opero, eso prácticamente nos deja descobijados".

Sentencian que ellos junto con los cinco mil usuarios que transportan al día, están en peligro de muerte con cada viaje.
